As its name suggests, Circus Circus Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is themed around the circus. The main casino building is shaped like a huge big top and the accommodation towers spread out behind. There are two things that make this complex worth visiting. You’ll find what’s claimed to be the world’s largest permanent circus at the Midway, slightly above the casino floor. Here, there are free daily 10 minute circus shows.
The shows start at 11am and there are a range of performers who appear throughout the day. If there’s nothing happening when you first arrive, it won’t be long before the start of the next show. Most of the acts have performed in circuses around the world. The other thing worth visiting is the huge Adventuredome at the rear of the hotel with all kinds of theme park rides and entertainment.
It covers around 5 acres in size and there are a couple of roller coasters (pictured above), a log flume and lots of fairground type rides too. There are a range of tickets available, but a single ride on one of the roller coasters costs $12 (2016 prices).
